Rick and Ang are doing well, bought a town house...I don't know if Ang keeps a blog...but she should post some pics...it's a gorgeous little place and I know they will be so much happier there because at their apartments their down door neighbor was AWFUL! When I got there everything seemed fine, they opened a box and showed me one of them, I got excited and was pleased with it...wanted to see what it looked like on my car etc...etc. It was approx. 1:50 when they took the car in and around 3 they came to me and told me that they were very sorry but it seemed that one of the new wheels that I wanted put on my car was damaged in shipping and had a good sized crack in it....so they wouldn't be able to put it on today. I was in shock, I have heard of this happening to people but I have never had it happen to me. I just asked him "ok...so what do we do"...LOL. I ended up leaving the place with 3 new wheels on my car and 4 new tires...they put one of the old wheels on the drivers side rear......so I didn't take a picture of that side. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J2LUWPfxcCo/TxJkLtABzrI/AAAAAAAAAEo/M1PtQFRcFCk/s1600/New%2BWheels.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="180" width="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J2LUWPfxcCo/TxJkLtABzrI/AAAAAAAAAEo/M1PtQFRcFCk/s320/New%2BWheels.jpg" /></a></div>Anyhow, we came straight back after. I came in straight away and emailed the customer service of Discount Tire, and called the district office and left a message...we'll see what happens.Tonight Bryen was helping grandma and he took the basket of dirty clothes downstairs for her and was going to even start them for her, so he took the bottle of fabric softener and dumped the ENTIRE thing into the washer, the house really does smell great! Marcus is teething and I don't know if he is coughing a lot because of the post nasal drip from the runny nose he has because of the teething....or....if he is coughing because he is asthmatic and he has allergies which are flaring for one reason or another...I really don't like being so unable to tell! I have been giving him breathing treatments every day for the last 3 days, only once, but today I think has been the worst day for his coughing. I really need to get myself in to bed...but I just wanted to share a little bit of today...try to keep up a bit more on this blog :)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-6754719377264038008?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

CATCH UP

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ww5vdY6vCHQ/Tw0aBnauWpI/AAAAAAAAAEc/7d0Or_nElbk/s1600/family.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear:left; float:left;margin-right:1em; margin-bottom:1em"><img border="0" height="269" width="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ww5vdY6vCHQ/Tw0aBnauWpI/AAAAAAAAAEc/7d0Or_nElbk/s320/family.png" /></a></div>It has been pretty rough since RJ left for deployment. I have been so busy doing a lot of things here helping with dad when mom needs helping with laundry taking care of my own kids...and also dealing with other people who really shouldn't be here...yet are. I am trying to deal with all of what I know now...and all that I know is yet to come, with not just my own little family unit but my parents and the rest of my family as well. After Marcus' birthday party at our friends house in August, RJ had to leave on deployment. It was rough having him go, but I didn't cry as much this time as I did last time because I had to focus on what was needing to be accomplished. I am trying to focus on the goals we have, getting to the end of this battalion time without to much damage and finishing our career in the Navy hopefully without having to do this deployment crap again! Not long before RJ was deploy we had made the decision that we were going to pack all of our things into a storage unit and myself and the kids would go to Utah to stay with family until his return. We are going to deal with the separation even after he comes back as best we can, gotta make do with what we have been given...he was supposed to be home a year after this deployment but now they have shortened that by a month, so technically we are going to be able to be together for only 8 months...it's disappointing but I guess I'm used to it, I get flustered and frustrated and then I deal with it cuz there isn't anything I can do anyway...I hate that we have to be apart at all! Anyways...I got off track, I was trying to catch you up.....We stayed at our friends Jennifer and Steve Maldonado's until RJ had to leave...it was nice to be able to spend time with good friends just before RJ had to go too....it is a lot easier having support of friends to go back to also after he left...I think back on that and want to break down into tears...I can't tell how much it means to me that they were there for us and so strong...staying with people for over a month whom didn't have to open their home to us, but they did...I am forever grateful to them for that! A couple of days after RJ left, I packed up what little belongings the kids and I had with us at our friends house and drove back to Utah...my niece Nicole came to help with the kids...it was a fun trip, and we made it back in one piece. From the time we go there til now, it has been such a whirlwind of things happening....mom had surgery on her toe it was much needed...when she had that done I got the full brunt of what she has to do day to day for my father..it is no easy task, and to be perfectly honest, she is incredible to be doing what she does with how little her body wants to cooperate with her. It seemed like the healing process for mom and her toe took quite a bit longer than anticipate, in fact, she was kind of a tough case, the doctor seemed somewhat dumbfounded after a while...but we have it all figured out now...it's just mom's body being FREAKY...LOL. We have been able to get Marcus on a pretty good schedule here, the boys are doing fantastic in school..yes...yes...even Bryen is doing wonderfully....I always had the thought that perhaps this move to Utah might be a good one...and it has turned out that it has really led to some great things put in place for Bryen. My prayer is that we don't go back to California and have them start trying to tell us the same things they were before...the school here had debunked EVERYTHING the schools in Cali said...so I am prepared to fight for my son! I can't tell you how much that means to me to have had this opportunity to have Bryen in such a an awesome school, I believe it will make all the difference! Keeping in touch with RJ...has been far better than the last deployment when I was pregnant with Marcus. Skype works wonderfully and it is incredible to be able to keep in touch with him via Skype and video chat sometimes more than once a day. I am ready to have my own home again, nothing against my parents...but things are just FAR FAR to complicated around here for my liking...and I will be happy to have my own home with my own little family unit once again. I do miss my friends terribly as well....friends are so important...I do have friends here, girls I went to school with, and my siblings....(when I see them)but those military friends are irreplaceable and they understand far better than anyone else what you need and what you're going through :) We have been able to go see RJ's family twice since we came here to Utah. That is a HUGE blessing...listen to me...saying it's a blessing to see the in laws...I can not tell you how good it is for the boys to be able to spend time with both sets of their grandparents...that precious time is irreplaceable and it is something that I know they will remember forever! I am happy for this as well, if we weren't here in Utah, that would not have been possible either...so many good points. There are so many GOOD points to coming here to Utah...there are also a few bad ones. I won't get into those.Anyhow, life is good, we are taking care of some debt...at the same time as getting an opportunity to say that we have lived in Utah...I feel like my spirits are FAR more lifted than they were a year ago at this time. Marcus is doing impeccably well...Bryen is doing well...Kyle is doing well...(just starting to get some attitude) and RJ is doing fine on deployment and since we will be re united soon...everything is going to be great! I am excited for February....I do want to say Happy New Year...2012 will prove interesting I am sure. I know it will be better than 2011 for sure! He left August 7th 2011, and originally was supposed to be gone for 9 months. Just before he was supposed to head out they changed the deployment from 9 to 6 months which is great...except that we had already made plans and packed up our things and decided to do this move to Utah at that point. It means that when he returns, he will have to stay in the bachelor quarters there at Point Mugu until the kids finish the school year here in May...from Feb to May...that is a little while to be back in the states but still have to be separated from your family...it's a really bummer deal! We did more than just Disneyland that trip too...we went to Santa Barbara to the zoo..we went to Santa Clarita Beach, we had a lot of fun going whale watching......<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lOI1eVXImvY/Tw0PqlNixmI/AAAAAAAAAD4/SdBrc6HRhvo/s1600/205.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="240" width="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lOI1eVXImvY/Tw0PqlNixmI/AAAAAAAAAD4/SdBrc6HRhvo/s320/205.JPG" /></a></div>When the trip was over and it was time for family to leave and go back to Montana, it was really hard to see them leave, taking them to the airport and watching them go up the escalators to security check was so hard on us all...RJ had a rough time for quite a few days after that. Normally what happens is we go and see people and then we leave, it's so much harder having them come and then having them have to go. I am so glad that we got the chance to show them around in California though, it was so much fun, and we would do it again in a minute too! :)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-2622720311481524515?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

<div style='text-align:center;margin:0px auto 10px;'><a href='http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lA7HKO2xtiU/TU9n3GaUjNI/AAAAAAAAADY/xotPqS-rNYU/s1600/IMG_7443.JPG'><img src='http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lA7HKO2xtiU/TU9n3GaUjNI/AAAAAAAAADY/xotPqS-rNYU/s320/IMG_7443.JPG' border='0' alt='' /></a>&nbsp;</div><br />Marcus had his first ever photo shoot yesterday...we have more pictures than this done, but this is the one that we chose to touch up right now so that I can show people...this is his birth announcement....a little belated, but...this is to precious to me not to share! :o)<div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-3359644475845697101?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Bringing Home Baby

We still don't know the exact discharge date, wether it will happen before Thanksgiving this month or not, but we do know that the nurse this morning was the same nurse that had Marcus yesterday and he told us that while he was talking to the doctor yesterday the doctor said that they are trying to see about getting Marcus discharged before Thanksgiving. This morning he was without his nasal canula...which I thought was kind of wierd, I didn't process what that meant until the nurse said "he's off oxygen" I can't tell you how excited that made me and how happy that made me too. Marcus is getting closer to coming home just have to get down the feedings, sometimes he is awfully tired and so they gavage it <em>(Introduction of nutritive material into the stomach by means of a tube.</em>) We have to get to the point where he doesn't need a feeding gavaged to where he can sustain himself to be awake enough to eat his food to where they can take the gavage tube out and he continue to gain weight. We are still on standby...waiting...It'll be great to have him home finally when it does happen, but it will also be that much sweeter having him completely ready to come home! I wanted to fill you all in on what is happening with him, it is such a great great distance he has come in such a short time. He weighs 7lbs. 9oz. that is what Kyle weighed when he was born...Marcus is such a little trooper, he achieves every goal that is set before him...ALREADY and he isn't even technically a month old, he will do great things in this life, of that I am certain.<br /><br /> <a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=Photo0082.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/Photo0082.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-7716670335463530061?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Preemie Marcus

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lA7HKO2xtiU/TIXkOo_8n5I/AAAAAAAAADE/Yq0uPnFnIyI/s1600/100_0588.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lA7HKO2xtiU/TIXkOo_8n5I/AAAAAAAAADE/Yq0uPnFnIyI/s320/100_0588.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514064258959974290" /></a><br />RJ and I recently added to our family, it was 3 months early however and RJ had to come home from Afghanistan, it wasn't exactly how anyone would want things to go down, but here is the story of how things transpired. I noticed the night of the 3rd of August that my legs and feet were puffy...I didn't notice until I was getting into the bath that night after we had gone to an event thrown by Lincoln Military Housing. so once I got out of the tub I tried to take my bp with my own little blood pressure cuff I have had since my pregnancy with Bryen. When I was pregnant with Kyle I got hypertension and they hospitalized me for a week and so when we found ou...t we were pregnant with Bryen up in Iceland I bought the cuff so that I can monitor my own bp at home...nothing ever really went wrong with Bryen's pregnancy...it was totally fine, but I still had this cuff, which turns out to be a good thing for the events prior to Marcus. Anyhow, I "tried" to take my bp, but it wouldn't for some reason, I thought maybe it was the batteries so I pulled out some new ones put them in and tried it again...still didn't work. Okay, so I w...as pissed, I knew it had to be high, couldn't figure out why the stupid thing was working, but I knew from the symptoms that my bp had to be high just like when I was pregnant with Kyle. SO...I gave up and went to bed, and the next morning, I woke up, still puffy, found the instructions for the bp cuff, and read in the instructions that the reason it was doing what it was doing was because it wasn't inflated enough...another confirmation to me that it was high...so I tried it again, inflating it ALOT more than I normally have to...and it read...150/117,(that isn't the exact numbers but it is really close)your average bp should be something like 120/75 so...you can see from that how freaking high my bp was!(later RJ told me when I was actually admitted to the hospital that my bp was 178/126)they start to freak when your bp gets high because you could have a stroke or a siezure...I am glad that I kind of freaked about being puffy and called the doc after seeing what my bp cuff read. OKAY, so...I went to my OB's office that morning, and they took my bp numerous times, and after checking everything out they sent me over to the Labor and Delivery there in the hospital so that they could monitor my bp for a few hours(I am so lucky to have great friends that help me out when I get in a bind...NAMELY Jennifer Maldonado, THANK YOU SO MUCH JEN FOR HAVING MY BOYS THROUGH ALL OF THIS!)So...they monitored me for a few hours, and after a little bit, they gave me a bp medication called Labeatolol and sent me home with strict orders for bedrest, no housework, NOTHING, and then they wanted me to come back to the doctors office the next morning, so...I did the best I could...freaking out all the while cuz RJ is in Afghanistan and they're telling me to do bedrest, school is about to start and I have to go school shopping still and I have 2 children to take care of virtually impossible to do when you're not supposed to do anything..but I thought I would wait and see what happens at the appointment the next morning. I went to that appointment and of course the bp pill they gave me did NOTHING, so they freaked out a little, Dr. Hanna sent me with a perscription for bp meds to take daily and xanax, I went to the front desk and they were on the phone scheduling me an appointment with the specialist that I was seeing for my ultrasounds he was the specialist on the baby in utero and they got me an appointment that day at 1pm at this point it was already 11am so...I had to go try to find out what I could about putting in a red cross call for RJ to see if they might send him home to help me out having to be on bed rest...so I did that, got information that is needed for that, and intiated the call to the Red Cross while on my way to the appointment with Dr. Jidali (the specialist) I couldn't help when I put in the call to the red cross but to break down crying to the lady taking the call...it really wasn't something I wanted to be happening, I was thinking about what happened with Kyle's pregnancy and I knew I couldn't afford being hospitalized...didn't want that to happen! Anyway, I went to Jidali's office, they took my bp...still high of course...they did an ultrasound checked the baby he was fine just hangin' out in there, and then...when the doctor came in, he was tripping out a little and sent me straight away to the hospital, he didn't even let me drive myself, he made one of his girls take me there....went to Labor and Delivery again, and they admitted me and started Magnesium Sulfate to keep me from having a seizure or stroke and amidst all of the buzzing in and out and injections and blood draws and pokes and pokes and pokes of constant trying to get my iv, and giving me shots of steroids to help the baby's lungs mature faster...I caught a chance to ask one of the nurses how long I was supposed to be in the hospital...and she said "I think it's until the baby is born" I knew at that point, RJ HAD TO COME HOME...so I contacted the red cross again to let them know the update on what is happening with me...luckily I got the chance to do that before I really started feeling like I wanted to die, I did get to the point where I wanted to just die, it was the most miserable I have ever been in my entire life, and I would NEVER wish it on my worst enemy! I don't recall much except for really feeling miserable and that my friends were popping in to check on me and try to make me feel better, there were occasions where I was coherant enough to carry on conversations, but mostly I was out of it, and felt like death. As the doctor explained it to me, I was the babies ICU, as long as they could keep him in me, the better because he was doing well in there, and it would be far more difficult for him out of me...honestly, I would rather be the one to suffer...thinking about it now, I did get to a point where I was saying "THEY JUST NEED TO TAKE THE BABY" I wish I had never said that...but even if I hadn't things still would have gone this way Okay, so now...I'm there in the hospital feeling like death, wishing this wasn't happening wondering what was happening with my husband, if he'll be able to come home, what is gonna happen with me, why I was feeling so miserable (that magne...sium sulfate is HORRIBLE STUFF) and all the while my sweet friends were coming and helping me with things, bringing me things, trying to make me feel better. Sarah, my newfound sweetheart, asked me if I would like to have a blessing from the priesthood holders in my church (I know some of you won't understand this...let's just say...they comfort, bless the sick to get well, etc...and it is based alot on FAITH...but faith and hope is what alot of us hold on to and it is something I will never live without) because I know what I know I accepted Sarah's offer to help me out to recieve a blessing of comfort from them and they came in and did it for me...I can tell you, I did feel better, knowing that I had recieved the blessing but also because I felt the love of my Heavenly Father so strongly then and I knew he was watching over me. Now...after all of this, I got called from RJ saying he was on his way home, and I knew he would be a few days because it takes a while to get here from there...I started to feel even worse..physically, and I knew that it wasn't going to be long before things really went down and I think deep down I knew that I was going to have a premature baby...I just didn't know how long I was gonna be able to make it. The 5th day I was there, my husband came into the room, first time I have seen him in 4 months and I look like HELL but he was there! He came and said hello to me, let me know he was there, and then went to get his boys from our dear friend who had kept them for us while I was in the hospital. 6 hours after he got back, and was with our boys, they came in and told me that I had protein in my urine and that they were going to do a c section and take the baby because my body ICU wasn't gonna do it anymore...my only thought was "CALL MY HUSBAND" I so desperately wanted him there for the birth and I was so happy he able to be here! They called him back, he came and they took me in for surgery, all that prep stuff, drugged me up real good and took out my little 28 week gestation baby...yet another amazing thing I remember hearing the doctor say "OH, whatever doubts I had about doing this are now gone because she was starting an abruption" RJ got home, hours before my body said OK, time to go...I think there was most certainly a higher power at work with how things transpired, I really do. I feel so blessed that things weren't worse and I feel sooooo very blessed to have angels watching over me, up above as well as here on earth, I have some of the best people in my life, and I want you all to know how greatful I am to have you in my life.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-8899100284206711717?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

School

School starts up again on August 24th, I don't really feel ready for it to happen, but I think that it will be a good down time before Marcus comes. I don't know if I told you guys...we're going to name the baby Marcus Timothy McGaha. The boys and I have been spending alot of time lately playing Super Mario Brothers Wii...it is so fun, and it also is a blast to watch the boys get angry at each other because they accidentally kill each other on the game or something like that, it's funny cuz they can pick each other up and kill each other on purpose too...it's horrible, but funny at the same time. I have been oooooober irritated with certain nouns that really have tried my patience into ablivion! I think I really need to grow a pair of my own and just put people in their place when I disagree with things they may say or things that they do...I mean really, is it to much to ask to be just a LITTLE considerate of someone elses feelings about small things...it doesn't always have to be a huge gesture, it could be something small and simple that you do or STOP doing that will help the fact that you are so irritating change! My gosh, I might as well have just said a person, not noun...but seriously, it's not even just a person...it is a place and things as well so actually noun was quite suited. I am going to stop now while I'm ahead...on a happy note...I saw Eclipse tonight and it was actually quite well done and I was glad to have had the opportunity! I am tired of the boys constant fighting about NOTHING, I am tired of having to fix things that the dog messes up in the back yard, I am tired of being without a husband (not just physically), I am tired of living at Point Mugu away from civilization, to get anything that isn't overpriced or frickin' SUBWAY you have to drive a minimum of 8 miles, and I am tired of being pregnant already. I have found that swimming helps with the aching hips, for a little while at least, it is a definate bonus to have discovered that one and I totally wouldn't have if it wasn't for Jen Maldonado my friend here, cuz I NEVER would have gotten in the pool. I keep thinking that if I am only half way through this pregnancy that things are only going to get worse...my hips are causing me pain that can not be explained, and every time I call the doctors office of course they say "only tylenol" tylenol doesn't do jack for pain, really...are pregnant women supposed to be in agony all the way through pregnancy and then have it increase with delivery and then afterward suffer more because of the demands of life and the children you already have and the child you just had? Wow...yea, I am on a little bit of a tangeant here...but this is what is on my mind right now. I feel so crappy sometimes that all I want to do is just sit around and do NOTHING, and when I say nothing I mean, the house is in complete dissaray, the kids run around in nothing but their underwear...I MEAN NOT A DAMN THING! I can definately say that there is a depression in play here because of how dramatically life changed when RJ left, and how dramatic a life change it was to even just come back to battalion...military life is most certainly not a glamorous one, and if there are people out there who thing it is glamarous...I ask them to give it a try and find out for themselves that it most certainly is NOT. If we go away from the house for an extended period of time, we all start to feel good and play and have fun and then we have to come back to this place to deal with the dog, the mess and then there is something in these walls or in the air out here at Mugu that is making us all be congested and feel like CRAP for the first little while in the day. I wish that this was more than just a bitch fest here, but...this is what a blog is for isn't it? To get things off you mind and off your chest even if it isn't always positive. BLAH, anyhow, I am sure that my kids are thinking, my mom sucks...so...I gotta do something<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-2694136667366950533?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

March 30, 2010

The title is one of the hardest days I had in a long time! It is the day RJ left on deployment for the first time in over 7 years...it was very difficult. I do wish that there was a way to avoid having to go through such things, but being a military family, it is one of the things that you go through because it is your duty and also because you know that the price does not outweigh the purpose of what he is doing...doesn't mean it doesn't SUCK! Anyway, on to something else shall we...<br /><br />I am 19 weeks and 6 days pregnant, I can feel the baby move quite a bit and...oh yes, I didn't know when we were due when I last blogged...we are due Nov. 2, but there will be a c section a week prior to that, the possibility of me still being in the hospital for Bryen's birthday is extremely HIGH! I am hoping that we can do the surgery on the 22nd of Oct, but that is up to the doc I am seeing where I get the ultra sounds done. We are...having another boy, at least that is what was said when I had an ultra sound on June 1st. I am going back for another on June 29th, I guess the reason I have all of these ultra sounds isn't anything beyond what they do normally so...whatever..hehe!<br /><br />Life is quite different having two kids, a dog and being pregnant with your husband deployed...quite different from having 1 child that isn't 2 yet...that is what it was the last time we did a deployment. I'm gonna go now, but I will blog more later<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-6659590420027886979?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Pregnant

I don't know yet how far along we are, but we are pregnant. I guess once you stop taking the low hormone birth control pills that you're pretty immediately fertile. It happened so fast, I stopped taking the pill in DEC and found out I was pregnant at the end of FEB...that is fast...I remember when I went off the pill with Bryen it took 3 months. I am nervous about going through basically the entire pregnancy without RJ, he is deploying to Afghanistan really soon now. It is difficult, but you do what you gotta do, I have friends around that are going to be there for me, it just doesn't seem like we really completely thought about the facts...I will for certain have to have a c section since I have already had 2. I will definately have my boys..they're not going anywhere...and I will definately want my husband to be here with me, and I know for sure that isn't gonna happen until after the baby is already here and I have gone through the hard stuff with him gone. I know it isn't his choice to leave at this time, but....it doesn't make it suck any less!<br /><br />Kyle and Bryen are doing pretty well these days, at least, in personality and just being kids. Bryen isn't faring so well in the school front, but what can you do, he is young and he enjoys fun, and he doesn't listen to people that don't demand it from him...and his teacher sooooo does not demand it from him. Kyle is doing really good, he is improving alot each day at least it seems that way. I am hopeful that this school that they're attending will try harder to make it a better atmosphere for learning, at least from how it was this year. <br /><br />Okay, so to sum up....I have a little more than a week maybe before my husband leaves on deployment for 8 months....at which point the boys and I will continue to carry on here until he returns, I will do the best I can being pregnant and irritable and all of that jazz. I don't know if my house will ever be clean, it's a formidable task that is dauting and always looming! I hope that my next posts will be a little more upbeat, but you know, everyone is welcome to their grumpy occasional icky blog days right? At this point, I am going to go to Walgreens to get some colace to help me out in the area of being able to have a BM, I tell ya, it aint fun not being able to crap...LOL<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-1446338852182627942?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Today

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lA7HKO2xtiU/S2N5pa-P2gI/AAAAAAAAAC0/lxG2S9M2fDw/s1600-h/New+Picture.png"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 307px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lA7HKO2xtiU/S2N5pa-P2gI/AAAAAAAAAC0/lxG2S9M2fDw/s320/New+Picture.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432319328060955138" /></a><br />I had an apt today with a neurologist to see if he could tell me what is wrong with my vision, why I see trails behind everything and around too. I am thinking maybe they don't remember things that they see anymore...anyway, I was hoping that he would be like...OOOH I've seen this before and magically diagnose me and fix the problem...but no, instead he is ordering tests...an MRI and an EEG to see if they can find anything...and if they don't...does that mean they're going to be referring me to some psych doc because I must be imagining it?! I mean, c'mon...it's not like I hope they find something, but what if they don't...honestly...what if they don't! I'm frustrated with the whole medical anything lately! The girl that took my blood pressure when I went in did so with a digital BP cuff...those things aren't accurate to begin with, but then she put it over my shirt sleeve like it is just as good as the ones they used in the old days. I DON'T THINK SO!!!! 154/110 can NOT be correct!<br /><br />RJ is at work, he came home for a little bit, when the kids were getting off the bus and hung out for a few, but then he had to leave again for this "DINING INN" or whatever the hell they wanna call it, I think it's friggin' lame, all of this fraternity BS, I mean, whatever guys, these are not college days, that is why so many of you have grown kids and TONS of gray hair! I'm just kind of all around pissy. I am not really ready for it to happen, but I know that I have to get ready fast. We decided that since the deployment schedule is being changed on top of his having to deploy earlier than we thought, that it would be better to try to get pregnant now and have a baby just after he gets home because we know that I will have to have a c section no matter what. I am not sure how that will work being pregnant with these two boys and no husband, it's kind of a lose lose situation LOL. The deployment schedule used to be scheduled for 6 months out and 12 months home, but they changed it to be 8 months our and 10 months home...with a pregnancy that just isn't exactly workable...I'm not even sure that we are going to be able to get pregnant before he leaves but...I'm just like if it doesn't happen then we can try when he gets back I guess. I wish that they wouldn't change the schedule so often, I have heard people say that at least we have a schedule bla bla bla but honestly...there isn't stability anywhere, not with how the times are now anyway! I hope you're all having a good day, I'm just chillin. It's been a while since I posted...sorry about that, I spend alot of time on Facebook...LOL! xoxo<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-3329736748036266236?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Mi Spectacles

Here is a picture I took of myself shortly after picking up my glasses, I only need them to drive and such doing things far away, I am slightly near sighted so...anyway, I hope you enjoy it! He is still recooping and the doc said that he wouldn't be able to go back to school until the 20th. I'm glad that we got it overwith quickly though cuz I didn't want it to interfere with Bryen's birthday or his Halloween fun! I just wanted to let you all know that, I haven't been sharing much lately. I did get an awesome picture of Bryen on his "hydrocodone" they gave him...LOL...but it got deleted, I was so pissed..but what can you do. <br /><br />Today is such a dreary day, it is windy, and blowing leaves off the trees all over the place, and the rain is coming and going and has been all day long...it's icky...but at the same time nice...does that make any sense? I don't know who it was that thought up the idea of having a holiday like Halloween around this time of year, but it is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! I wish I had some pictures to post on here right now...I'll just post some random pic...how bout that...hehe. I guess i thought that he would be home more than he is right now, it is only a 6 week process...but in just the first few weeks already, RJ has lost weight and been extremely tired...I'm just about the same....I had to unpack boxes, put beds together, get rid of the boxes, and alot of other stuff ALONE because RJ was not available to help...he still isn't but I think he has less than 3 weeks left in the "initiation". I will be so relieved when this whole thing is over, but then...but then...they're talking about sending him back up to water well school which is up in China Lake, California, a ways away from here. I will not know what to do exactly when he isn't here every night, I do at least get that little bit right now, even though he is so tired that he wants to just sleep, I don't know what I'll do when he isn't around AT ALL! Ugh, I am so nervous about all of this, he will deploy next year, and I am most certainly NOT looking forward to that, but I know it will be somewhat easier to keep myself together because I have the two boys and by that point they will have started school again for the next year. I am really worried about my boys' education, I don't know how they're really doing in School because I'm not there, and I have a hard time with that. Kyle is having a rough time with spelling he isn't lacking so much in the reading department but spelling really is just proving VERY difficult for him. Bryen has already made his teacher feel that she needed to call me to get some pointers on how to get him to cooperate with her in the classroom...I can't give pointers...geez, Bryen doesn't listen to me either...LOL! I think mainly that is what I am concerned about, Bryen, how he will be when RJ is gone...for a week while RJ was in China Lake before they pulled him out of school to bring him down here, for that week, Bryen had started to pee his pants during the day...I am so worried that he may do that same type of behavior when RJ isn't around at all if they send him back up to China Lake...and then deployment. Anyhow, I guess this is just a bunch of complaining but, I think it's just alot of stuff that I need to get out. Right now, RJ is sitting next to me in his recliner, the tv is on but nither one of us are watching it, he is working on a task that they gave him for his "initiation" and I am doing this my blog. I almost started to cry when I was thinking about deployment, oh, here I go again, it's been a long...LONG time, we have been lucky, since we went to Iceland for sea duty and then were in Missouri for a shore duty we had 6 years there and then here he won't deploy until next September so that will be another year so by the time he does deploy again it will have been 7 years since we had been seperated for more than a week...it's gonna be rough...I know it. UGH, I gotta stop thinking about that, it's still over a year away. Anyhow, I love you my family, and to my friends, you're awesome. Have a good one. :o)<br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=IMG_6559.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/IMG_6559.jpg" border="0" alt="RJ's Chief Pinning"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=IMG_6582.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/IMG_6582.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=IMG_6585.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/IMG_6585.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=IMG_6569.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/IMG_6569.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-8915823948831641141?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Port Hueneme California

Here we are, in Pt. Hueneme, the weather is AWESOME, we are loving that part of it at least. I have been unpacking since we got into the house last Tuesday...we have had some friends that we knew in Iceland that are also stationed here stop by, it's good to have some people we know around. I am hating the unpacking, the packers just put stuff here and there an everywhere, like the phone was in one box and the charger for the phone was in another, it's really difficult, having to go through all of this stuff..but in a way it's good too though because we're having to go through stuff we haven't even looked at for over 2 years...LOL...why do we keep it you may ask, well...I honestly don't have an answer for that...LOL! For some reason Jax is having a hard time, his body has these bumps all over he looks almost mangy and I don't know why. I have looked up some information on it, trying to find out what it is, and I am thinking that it is flea bites he is allergic or something, but, I can't say for sure, my neighbor said that she gives her dogs benadryl and she gave me some to give to Jax and it has seemed to help some, but I don't know how to stop it from happening if it is fleas...I have put frontline on him and everything, I had a friend tell me that frontline doesn't work on the fleas here but I just needed to feel like I was doing something for poor Jaxy Pup. He runs around like he's trying to get away from something and goes and hides shaking his head and stuff, he acts like he's possessed...I feel so bad for him. I have an apt to go see the vet on the 24th to get him licensed for Cali and also get him chipped, but until then I don't know what to do for him. I hope he doesn't feel really crappy too...I would feel so bad to find out that my dog has some sort of doggy virus and that is why he hasn't eaten anything today...ugh. Anyhow, the boys both started school today, I almost cried a little when I had to leave Bryen at the Kindergarten class...not because I was leaving him, but because of how happy he was while I was sitting at the window waving at him but as soon as I blew him a kiss and started to back away his face plumetted and he looked like he was going to cry, I felt so bad, I love my little guy. When he came home from school he had a paper that said that he had a "GREAT" first day of school so maybe he is doing really well...for me, he is quite difficult, but...I am guessing that he enjoys school. Anyway, I will talk to you all later, take care :o)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-4169120113449893229?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Housing

Well, it looks like we're going to move into military housing at Pt. Mugu. That is not what we wanted to do, but I think at this point it's really our only option and I think it will actually turn out to be good for all of us. We did have an apartment all lined out, we paid a hold fee etc...but RJ found out that he wasn't going to get the housing allowance for California until he checks into his command at Pt. Hueneme on the 18th of September so....we had to figure something else out. The housing office is so nice, they are really going to work with us and only take the amount of BAH we are currently getting for Missouri until RJ checks into his command at Hueneme, I think it is really great that they are going to help me out. Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know what's going on, the lady mentioned a move in date of this Friday the 7th of August but before we can move in I have to set up a date for the household goods to come so we will actually at least have some mattresses to sleep on. Kyle will start school on the 24th so there is another thing that I will have to get all sorted out and stuff once we get there, I think it will come together pretty well though, and I am really happy that we don't have to enroll Kyle in some other school and then transfer him a little after it starts. Anyhow, have a good night, ttyl :o)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-2571544092116628165?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

California

Here we are, at our friends house in Hanford, CA. RJ goes up to water well school in China Lake tomorrow and leaves us behind for 6 weeks or so for that, also...he is going to be going through the initiation of making Chief and I've heard that it's just terrible and RJ is happy that I won't see it. We sent in an application for an apartment and a check of a hold fee and they're holding it for us to move in on the 12th. RJ won't be done with his school until September and so moving in and unpacking is all up to me....YIPEE! I am thinking that we are going to have to downsize alot of stuff, but we'll be able to make it work, I don't know that we'll be staying in those same apartments for the entire time that we're here in Cali though, it's a year lease and I guess we're moving in while they're running a special so after our year the rent will probably go up...don't want that for sure! I hope that everything goes well of course, it is always nice when things go smoothly. We are just really tired of staying at other people's houses and invading their homes, and traveling, we're just ready to be done already. I don't know what this whole making chief thing is going to do to RJ's career or to the time he will be able to spend home but...that's all a wait and see thing. It&#39;s really nice to visit family and at the same time we&#39;re in route to a place where we&#39;ll be living for the next who knows how many years. It&#39;s kind of a rough life making friends and then having to leave them behind not knowing if you&#39;ll see them again. I do try to keep in touch but it really is not easy to keep in touch with people and at the same time take care of your family, if you haveea family you understand what I&#39;m talking about. Anyway, I guess I&#39;m feeling kind of somber because seeing the drama that is taking place here it makes me want to kind of be back with my friends where the only drama we had there was who&#39;s house we were gonna hang at. hehe Anyhow, we have found a house that is for rent in Ventura wherw we&#39;re headed and we have sent in applications so we hope that everything goes well with that, we have to wait for our money for the credit checks to get there and then they&#39;ll let us know if we&#39;re accepted as tenants or not I think it would be so great that would be wonderful, oh and i forgot to say we actually did close on our house on July 15th! I just am sitting here thinking of my life and where I came from and just how grateful I am of the family that I have. I am excited to go back to California but at the same time I am nervous about the difference in culture and all of that from this place. The difference may be a bit overwhelming at first, but I have done it before, I think, as life is changing so dramatically for me, I am just thinking about things ALOT! I remember being there in cali before, and loving it, the weather, the just EVERYTHING, but at the same time, it was kind of nerve wracking to live in a place that has such a high crime rate and so many people in such small areas. I'm hopeful that my children will be safe when they go to school and that they will be happy with what friends they can make...and I am hopeful that we will be happier there as well. I just wanted to say a few things about it I guess, and let you all know what I'm thinking about. I'm really, actually, kind of scared...we'll be going back to a battalion and RJ will be deploying again for 6 months, I don't know exactly when he'll be leaving for the first time in 6 years but when he does it will be a very traumatic experience for us all because we are so used to daddy, and husband being home. I think that will be a very difficult thing for me to adjust to, and when we were in battalion before, I had the luxury of being able to pack up and just go home to see my family. Depending on the time of year that RJ will deploy, I won't be able to do that anymore because Kyle is school age now, and Bryen is right there too...I don't know if Bryen will start school this next year because he won't turn 5 until October and the school year starts in August, but...I'm just thinking about everything. Kyle will be in 3rd grade, can you believe it...I'm so nervous...lol...my little guy is growing up so fast, and I can't do anything but watch him grow and try to be the best parent I can. UGh, anyhow...I am starting to ramble, so I will go now, but I will be on again soon..love to you all. :o)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-8811230745595747767?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

House

Since we listed our house it seems like we haven't been able to sell it for one reason or another and it has been very frustrating. NOW...it seems like all the pieces are starting to fall into place, it's at the last minute and I'm grateful that it seems to be that way at all. Tonight we got a phone call and when RJ got off the phone he asked me "do you want the good news?" I was wary because usually with good news also comes bad...I told him of course I want the good news and he said "we got an offer on the house" this offer makes alot more since than the past one we got and it couldn't have come at a better time. Our realtor came over and we sat down and looked over the paperwork for the offer, and I tell you what, it is a perfect thing. We of course agreed to the offer, and sent our realtor away with signatures giving her the go ahead to tell the people to pursue financing and also whatever else they may need to get this done and to closing. They want to close by July 15, at that time we will still be on the road on our way to Cali where our next duty station will be, but it is such a weight off my shoulders that I can't tell you how grateful I am to everyone who has kept us in your prayers and who have thought of us daily, I do believe that it is about to pay off. <br /><br />I don't know exactly what time it is now, but you may be asking yourself, why the hell is Beth up blogging at this hour...well, I have been on vicodin for a few months, and I have noticed that when I take it just before I go to bed, it will keep me awake, or I will wake up throughout the night, I don't know why, but...it kinda sucks. Some people may say that vicodin helps them sleep...well...NOT ME! ANYWAY<br /><br />I am sure that I have informed you guys on what is happening with the car, well....we thought we were going to finally get it back yesterday, but I guess the part didn't get there, and so today...we called to see what was up, I am still driving a rental and RJ talked with someone at GM today to see what the process will be to get us a non-lemon vehicle. I feel like the good comes along with the bad, the car situation BAD...the house situation...at this point GOOD VERY GOOD. For those of you who know me, you can picture me saying this and the face I would make as I say it, and I'm sure you are chuckeling. I am super excited for this offer to go through on the house, not only to be from under it and move on to the next chapter of our Navy career..but also for the people who are going to own the house, it is a very nice home and there is so much that can be done with it. In the end, we won't have made any profit on it, however, we did put alot of hard work and love into what we did to that house, and I can tell you living in it was a great experience. Anyway, I think I am going to try to go to bed and get some sleep. LOVE 2 U ALL! :o)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-787249967348668930?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

AND THEN

Okay, so here is what is happening. My car..is still in the shop, I guess what is going to happen is they're going to repair it as best they can for now and we're supposed to be contacted by a guy from gm tech or something like that and we are going to go through the motions of getting a new car for me...I guess...I don't know when or anything, I'm just so frustrated with this whole thing. <br /><br />We have packed out of our house, and are now staying with a friend "Audra" she is very sweet to let us come in and invade her home like this, I feel like I'm doing a bad job of keeping up with how she would like things, and I don't want to do that because it is important to me that she not feel like she has other people taking over her house. I feel bad for that, last night was a hard night, the boys are sharing the room with the baby and she ended up taking the baby in her room with her so that she wouldn't wake up the boys, but it ended up keeping Audra up all night and then the weather as well! This morning she said next time the baby screams in the night she is just going to leave her because she will fall back asleep and it didn't seem to disturb the boys at all last night. I hope that this works out, it isn't for a long period of time, but if it gets to the point where she has had enough of us we'll just vacate...I hate invading other people. Anyhow, I went in to the empty house yesterday and finished up the kitchen sink, counters and floor and that was all that was left to do in the upstairs...we still have a few things above where the washer and dryer were that we have to go get, and also there is some stuff we have to take care of in the garage...but overall the house is vacated, I just wish that there was already a plan for someone else to move in...I loved that house, but I will be sooooo glad to offload it to someone else. Anyhow, I better get going, Kyle keeps coming in to tell me about MarioKart on the wii, and even though I don't really care, I know he won't stop coming in here until I go in there. ONE QUESTION...why do kids think they have to yell at each other to get the message across??? Ugh!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-8322716413744625495?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Empty House

Oh, well, the house is empty, and it's amazing how well you can see ALL of the imperfections once it gets that way, we have quite a bit to do and...we don't know when it will be shown next. I forgot to take Bryen to his Ear Nose and Throat doctors appointment today, they are talking about his tonsils being HUGE...I did tell the doc it runs in the family but he said it can cause sleep apnea...I wonder if I have that and it's why I'm always so freakin' tired. Anyway, I am kind of basketcase right now, and I'm going a million miles a minute with all that is happening in my life...and yet...the house remains...in LIMBO, as always...I guess at least that is one other thing besides my family that is a constant, I'm going nutzo people, RJ is always worried about me having a nervous breakdown when we go through stuff like this, you have to admit, moving can be traumatizing...you get comfortable where you are, and then...WHAMO, you gotta move again! I am just sitting here watching as all of our stuff is packed up into boxes getting ready to be shipped. <br /><br />Our "NEW" car that was used as a demo is still in the shop, there is something really wrong with it, they've already ordered the parts but the parts won't be here until tomorrow and then once they get those they'll get going on fixing it. I just wonder when we're going to get my car back and if we're going to be able to get all the stuff that we have kept to move ourselves will fit in the back of RJ's truck and my car, it's just another thing on top of everything else that is kind of stressing me. Anyhow, Bryen is being pretty whiney right now, I think part of it is certainly that he doesn't completely understand why there are strange people in the house packing up everything. Kyle started crying this morning about not being able to take all of his stuff with him, it's confusing and all of that, I guess I really didn't prepare myself for the fact that the move wasn't going to only affect me. RJ was asking me if I'm handeling everything okay yesterday because when we moved back to the states I was freaking once we got back here because of the major change in our financial situation, I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to make it with how much we had gotten used to all of the money that we were getting in Iceland. We have definately made it work, but, it's frustrating not having this house sold, it complicates things quite a bit. After we go on leave and see all of our family on our way to california for RJ's school in August...well...Kyle has to start school..school in california I guess starts in August and so...I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I was thinking if the house isn't sold that I'm going to have to come back here...it's really not what I want to do but...I guess we'll just kind of roll with the punches. Pray our house sells will ya, they are going to show it tomorrow. OK, I'm going to go now so that I don't repeat myself...a little loopy with all that's going on around here...love to you all :o) ttyl :o)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-5992500573587377118?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Oh My

Yes, it has been a while, I am not slacking on my priority responsibilities but I am most certainly am on my internet mumbo jumbo. I thought I'd write a quickie not to let you know, we are being packed out next week, it's a crazy whirlwind that I find myself and my family in at the moment, our house isn't sold yet, otherwise I'm sure that would make for more of an at ease mindset at least as far as once we're done with the whole move bit. I am just overwhelmed right now, I have all of this move stuff coming up, all the while I need to keep the place clean and orderly for showings...JUST IN CASE...and then there's the issue with the car that I bought just recently. It was a demo, but it was still considered new because of where the mileage was on it, so I loved it and bought it, but now, I am wondering how great an idea that was, we are of course in a different financial situation making payments on a second vehicle, but on top of that...oh boy...my car has had issues twice now, and we've had it less than 2 months...WE GOT A DUD...I picked the wrong car this time. The first time it was in the shop was for the AC it gets bloody hot here...and this time, well...it's totally effed this time...we got in it to go for a small trip and when RJ put it into reverse it made this loud sound (maybe my siblings remember how mom and dad's mini van sounded when the transmission was going?) anyway, that is the sound it made and so he put it into park and tried one more time and it did it again, so...of course we took the truck instead, didn't want to drive it like that. They towed it Monday, and it is still in the shop today, Friday, and I'm driving a rental they gave me, and I'm afraid, these issues are not as small as the AC not working, it's not good, not good at all. When the service guy says we had to order partssss plural, not just a part, that definately isn't good. I'm just in general, F.I.N.E (Freaked,Insecure,Neurotic, and Emotional) That is the general good coverage of my status at this point. UGH, anyway, tty laters<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-860561775931148658?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

BRYEN!!!!

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lA7HKO2xtiU/Sb-9fYQKJBI/AAAAAAAAACo/a75btPqJ0xY/s1600-h/IMG_5968.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lA7HKO2xtiU/Sb-9fYQKJBI/AAAAAAAAACo/a75btPqJ0xY/s320/IMG_5968.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314174432104293394" /></a><br />That's what my brain is screaming right now...BRYEN!!!!! He stopped up the toilet, with I don't know what, but usually when you plunge a toilet the water starts to go down...OH NO, not with Bryen being the sabotuer...the water kept coming up and up and spilling over on to the floor. Luckily a few days ago, we bought some of those "<br />Sham-Wow" shammies, that has to have been one of the best purchases we have ever made. I was sopping up water all over the place, the bathroom was flooded, I was screaming at Bryen to get in his room...but, you might be proud of me, I did not spank him...I just verbally chastised him. I can't believe that he would do something like this at this stage in his life..I know he's not the only child to have stopped up a toilet and made it overflow, but the thing is...I don't know when it's going to stop with him. He will be 5 in October, there have been times when I have thought that maybe there is something developmentally delayed with him, but he's very smart...there are just so many parts of the human brain, I may have to have him tested if it comes right down to it and he just doesn't stop this destructive and confusing behavior. I don't know what is average for a 4 year old, maybe I'm not stimulating him enough, I'm sure that is a big part of it, but W T F...I'm really at the end of my rope and I have nowhere to go so I'm panicking and freaking out...I mean, I'm already on medication for anxiety, I was anxious before we had kids, and then having a child like Bryen, I just can't seem to catch a break. UGH, I'm just really frustrated right now, I was so relieved when the toilet finally started making sounds of water flow and then water went down...then I went through the house and flushed all the toilets and cleaned up the floor...but seriously...what a way to start the day...it's only 10. Just royally erks me. Now...Bryen is chilling in his dad's chair, just watching "Dragon Tales" and acting as though nothing happened. I'm at a complete loss...I hope that this does subside before to long. Anyway, I will blog more later, I just had to get some of that frustration out immediately or I was gonna snap. When I told RJ's dad the other day of the antics Bryen is up to on a daily basis, he laughed and said sarcastically "I don't know where he gets THAT from" hmmm...RJ?! Of course you know that RJ would never cop to being a little pain in the butt when he was younger, but...this is really driving me insane. I love the little guy, I love him to death...I'm just at a loss with what to do with him sometimes. ttyl :o)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-3471930258279604829?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Hello

Well, long time no blog...I know, I know! I have a hard time keeping up with all of the places that I have to go on the internet every day, my email, my myspace, my cafe mom, my facebook, my blogspot...YIKES man, it takes all day to just the first couple of those. Anyway, we are still trying to sell the house, at least it's on the market, and we have had a few showings, I am kind of freaking out a bit about keeping the place up to snuff for when they call and say that they would like to show the house, I feel like if it's not really picked up nicely, then it will be a major turn off for potential buyers. Anyway, I feel like with Bryen, I am having such a hard time because he is so busy all of the time. I'm sure things will work out it's just kind of frustrating at this point.<br /><br />When I was going through all of the issues with the pancreatitis and that, they found a mass on one of my ovaries when they did a ct scan on me. I didn't really notice any pains or anything related to that, but since they found it they had to follow it. I have been having ultra sound after ultra sound and seen the gyn doc a few times and just recently they had said well, either we can do surgery, or we can try another alternative to see if it will help. I decided to not do surgery and try taking out the IUD I had and going on the pill to try and stop ovulation, they said that was the reason for having cysts so...I guess it's just kind of a wait and see, in about 6 weeks I am going to have ANOTHER ultra sound to see if things have resolved, if they haven't, I don't really know what the next step is. The doc said that she thought they were just due to ovulation so in her opinion they will clear up with my being on the pill. I guess maybe that could be a little to much information for some people who might read this, but I'm just sharing...lol. One thing that is very disconcerting here...in the past 2 weeks there have been 2 deaths of soldiers @ Fort Leonard Wood that have somehow gotten infected with meningitis...it is scary, but they keep saying it isn't contagious and all of that, but there are still 2 guys that have died from the same thing. Anyway, that is quite concerning, the symptoms are similar to a regular ear infection so it's hard to tell and Kyle yesterday was having a fever, a headache, and this morning he vomited I was really worried, when normally I wouldn't be so super concerned but because of this stuff I of course thought of that. Kyle and Bryen had a really great morning, they were so excited last night when we tucked them into bed and told them that Santa was coming. They got up really quickly as soon as we told them to this morning and went straight to the tree where they saw all of their presents..they couldn't wait to start opening them. Bryen is at the point where he recognizes his name from Kyle's so he and Kyle were going through picking out which presents were theirs and getting more and more excited by the minute. When we finally sat down and began opening, they just had so much fun tearing off the wrapping paper. Isn't it horrible how you spend so much time and thought on wrapping all of those beautiful presents only for it to turn into a big jumble of torn and mutilated paper..lol..but it's so grand to watch them to be so happy with what they have been given from "Santa" I remember when we used to have someone play Santa and pass the gifts one by one to each member of the family, but eventually it just turned into a free for all there as well...it was pretty crazy to wait that long as each present was passed out one by one when there were so many people there waiting to get their first present not to mention they had more than one gift to open...it was funny. Anyhow, Kyle and Bryen are busy playing with the puppy and their new toys...I don't think we even had breakfast this morning and it doesn't even seem to phase them one bit. Usually they are asking me for food and ready to eat...maybe that will be all the better for when Christmas dinner is ready to be eaten. Anyhow, I will get back to the Christmas day with my boys...all 3 oh wait gotta include Jax too so...all 4 of them. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone, it is a really special holiday, that I just love the most. ♥♥♥♥<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-8412031419583881691?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Christmas Eve

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I can't believe that it is already here, I am like...what the heck, and then before we know it, it will be 2009! I am excited for a new year at the same time...terrified. Anyhow, I thought that I would get on here and blog some. I am sooo tired lately for some reason, I went to the doctor today to see if there may be something underlying to cause me to be so tired, and the doc ordered a bunch of tests, I have to go when I have been fasting, and I don't really know if they're going to be open tomorrow so...I guess I will just have to wait til after Christmas. I am going to call tomorrow and see if they are open, but I don't know. Jax is getting bigger by the day it seems, he is doing pretty well on the formula that we found the recipe for on the internet. I am so happy that we were able to find that recipe, he seems to really like it. Anyhow, I am going to go now, I just wanted to say a small little bit. I wanted the one we got, I might be crazy, it's alot of work, but I think this little guy is worth it, he's such a cutie, we have to bottle feed him and this picture I have of him was when his eyes were still closed. His eyes are open now, he started to open them on Saturday, he's our little baby. We named him "Jax" I was thinking Jackson, but we decided to go with Jax since we would have ended up calling him that anyway. OK, so I just wanted to share. I think that if you can't talk, turn the stoooooopid phone off. Today there is a Christmas party for the command here and I just found out about the details...JUST NOW! I am really irritated because it entails making a dish and bringing gifts for santa to give to the kids and also a gift for the dirty/secret santa or whatever you want to call the gift exchange. I am uncertain if it's due to my husband or if the guy that is supposed to have planned this stuff didn't pass the information to others, but this is rediculous, this isn't the first time, it also happened with the Thanksgiving get together...I didn't have a clue that I was supposed to bring a dish to the Thanksgiving get together!!!! They let school out early today, and they canceled the field trip they were supposed to go on today. Kyle is somewhat dissapointed but they are going to set up another day to do it before Christmas I guess so that is ok! I am so happy that we have places to stay warm and out of this freakish weather. I can't imagine having no home to keep warm in, my heart goes out to those who have to deal with this unforgiving weather with no home. I would open mine to people, if I honestly thought it would make a difference...but I feel like it would only make things worse for me and my little family opening our home to strangers. RJ has duty tonight so we're going to go over to a friends house and eat dinner with them, it really stinks when RJ has to be away from us for all nighters! We plan to have a good holiday meal here with our friends, hopefully we will make a good dinner and have a good time sharing our holiday time with them. I know you all know what I'm talking about when I say that when you put a group of people together, it doesn't always make for a wonderful time, there is bound to be at least one thing that goes wrong, but you know, most of the time, when you're getting together to have a good time, you do...avoiding any type of blah is always good. <br /><br />Anyhow, the realtor that we have selling our house has just opened her own agency, she used to be with realty associates and 2 years ago when we bought our home with her as our realtor she was with Re/Max but I think she is really such a great realtor that I believe we will sell quickly and that we will also get what we need to out of the home. ANYWAY, here is what happened, I went to the gastro doc, he decided to do that procedure called the ERCP. I went and had that procedure done and before I even left the hospital I knew that it came back that everything was normal, so...of course I was frustrated and wanted to know what the heck was wrong. On the way home from the hospital, I puked twice, I think it was cuz of the meds that they put in me to sedate me, I don't remember the procedure at all. Anyhow, after a couple days, I felt just fine, and I mean...JUST FINE, no pain really, I don't know what happened, if when they injected the dye that they knocked whatever was causing the problem loose or what, but anyways, I am like...WHA! So, I went back to see the doc for a follow up and told him what's going on, and he said, that he thought it was A stone, that passed and caused these problems in passing, he said that it may happen again and if it does that I should have my gallbladder out because it can cause irreperable damage to my pancreas having attacks. SO...that is where I am with that whole escapade...at least for now. I am supposed to go back to work on Thursday, yes I will, but I think that it's time that I move on. I have enjoyed being able to stay home with Bryen while Kyle has gone to school and relaxing a bit, I do feel sorta lazy, but I think it's better that specially for now, I need to not have that added to things I worry about. RJ got orders, we are supposed to be moving from Missouri to Cali next year, that is what I'm stressed about, but not as much as getting this house sold before then. I don't know how well the market is sustaining itself here, we do sort of have a micro community, but I just don't know you know. I'm nervous about that, and I really want to know that everything is going to work out the way we want it to, but you know what I have learned, everything doesn't always go the way you want it to. I'm just thinking things over and over and over in my mind, and you know what, I don't know how to quit my job. I mean, I have had to quit jobs before, but this is one that I have loved, and I really don't want to leave, but at the same time I do, the entire time I have had this job it has been a nightmare to try to keep daycare, and it's because of the irregular hours that I work, so if I were to try to keep steady daycare, I wouldn't be making enough to even pay for the daycare so it would be a waste. Anyway, I have gotten frustrated with some things at work too so it's time to move on! I gotta run, Bryen needs something to drink and I gotta get off this computer. LOL I love you my family...Heather, before we have to move back to cali we need to set something up to get together or something, I don't want to go all the way back over there without seeing you. Maybe Christmas time or something, I think RJ is planning to take leave...but dangit, we have a Jeff Dunham show in Kansas City on Dec 27th...we'll figure something out. I had a procedure they call ERCP yesterday and today I am feeling like crud. Gosh, I specially hurt in the area right underneath my chest almost like my lungs are being crunched somehow or something, and it hurts all the way around into my back...UGH! Anyway, just so you all know what's going on at least up to this point...ugh. I'm so frustrated I don't know what the problem is and this is all very tiring and frustrating. I don't know what to expect from this point, I figured that with this procedure they would have found something and since they didn't I don't know what the deal is...ok, I gotta go, Bryen needs a MAJOR butt kicking!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-7685133846082480315?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Results...and then

Hey everyone, I got my results, on Wednesday the 12th, sorry, I'm such a slacker. The results for the ultra sounds were that everything innard that I have minus the ovary(i don't think I spelled that right)with the cyst is absolutely fine. When they told me originally that I had pancreatitis, that was in fact not even completely true because when they had done the CT scan that night it showed that there was absolutely nothing going on with the pancreas, so I don't know why my amilase and lypase were elevated but...anyway...there is more to the story. REGARDLESS of the results and them telling me that I'm fine, I am in pain...I don't like to be in pain, and I have told them that I am in pain. When I saw the "practitioner" that told me there was nothing wrong and that cysts are a normal occurance in women (LIKE I DIDN'T KNOW THAT) I just chaulked it up to me being over sensitive...so I took that and went home. Luckily before I went and saw that "practitioner" I had tried to get ahold of my actual PCM and so...shortly after I got home from being told there was no problem...my PCM called me and told me she had taken a look at my results and that my cyst was larger than they like to see so they would like to keep and eye on it...UGH...I do not like getting different stories specially when it comes to MY health...not cool! ANYWAY, I went to the ER again yesterday, I sat there for hours in pain, and they did all these tests to see if they could figure out why I am having pain, and nothing is abnormal, my blood count is good, which I am happy to hear, but I still wanna know why I'm in pain. They're sending me to a Gastroenternologist, I don't know when, or if they're even going to actually put that referral in the computer. At this point, I'm kind of just really ready to GIVE UP and just deal with the pain, it's alot easier than trying to deal with people who don't seem to care wether you live or die. UGH...I know that isn't really true, but I just get so frustrated. Anyhow, so now I have Vicodin to take, and Ibuprofen, and am waiting for a phone call from the referral office for when my apt with the Gastro doc will be. I appreciate you keeping tabs on me Ramanda, you're a sweetie pie and a good friend! I will try to do better as far as keeping you up to date. OH, the fact that everything came back normal in my blood and all of that is definately a good thing though eh?! :O) ttyl<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-4061692675941268824?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

HEYA

Yea, I had my ultra sounds, and I still don't have the results...I'm calling all day today to see if I can get an apt to get the results from which ever doc I can get in to see, THIS IS REDICULOUS! I get the impression that they just don't care about me, no compassion, whatever, I'm sure that is false but, how else am I supposed to feel when no one seems to be willing to help me, and I'm only one person you know. UGH, I'm so frustrated right now I could just SPIT! Anyway, my work called and said that if I felt good enough to come in for a couple of short days this week in the office I could do that, and so I am going to be going in tomorrow and the next day to do some office stuff and I'm just PRAYING, that I can get a phone call from someone at the hospital with something...I hate waiting and most of all I hate not knowing what is going on, last night I was doing the dishes and about fell over with a shooting searing pain in my upper abdomen, and I was having a hard time breathing and RJ was about to flip out because he was yelling "WHAT'S WRONG" and I couldn't answer because I couldn't get a big enough breath in to talk to him...NOT GOOD! I am like...c'mon people, it's not like I'm gonna die, but it doesn't mean it's any less important! The others were checking out the mass that was on my uterus that they found in the CT scan. So, in all likliness the mass is just a cyst, but what if....you know. Anyhow, at this point, after having all of these ultra sounds done in the same day, the results will not be accessible until TUESDAY, and I am at this point, still not working and just sitting by and waiting. The hospital here is so understaffed they say "due to deployments bla bla bla" they are working on the problem, until there, we're SCREWED! I don't know if I'm going to be able to get an apt to find out the results of my ultra sound but I'm just really wondering if they even stop to think that maybe there may be a reason that this person would like to know...you know...like because maybe their health might be kind of important to them...you know. UGH, anyway, I could go to the ER again, my ear has been aching for the past two days and it is really really ouchie, what's wierd, is RJ's ear is bothering him really badly too, and it's the same ear as mine...STRANGE BUSINESS! Anyhow, RJ said he's not gonng go sit in the ER for hours on end for an ear ache, I say to hell with it, that's what they're there for.....UGH! Well, I'm frustrated because I haven't been working and that is going to leave us at a shortge of funds, but actually, I think it's good that we can see if we are able to handle things without me working because...I'll explain that to you.<br /><br />I was at work the last day I worked before I got sick...Thursday August 28th, when on the clinic I must have been feeling bad without realizing it cuz when the doctor decided he was going to get frustrated with me and act on that frustration by talking down to me, I started to cry, not right in front of him of course, but it really was totally uncalled for and there are much much better ways to go about things than the way he chose to deal with it. Anyway, I cried, got over that and went through the rest of the day doing the best that I could, in the meantime of course in the back of my mind I am thinking, I NEED A NEW JOB, because seriously, when you feel like you have an tense work enviornment, it doesn't make for a good day EVER! UGH, let me tell you what happened, it kind of sounds trivial, which is why I think I may have been starting to get sick because normally I wouldn't have cried at this, I just would have gotten pissed. Anyway, usually when I'm on the clinic doing cleanings etc. the Dr comes and looks at the kids mouths and then you go from there, sometimes he does it before you clean them, and sometimes he does it after you clean them, first thing you do, is take x rays if they're needed. Anyway, he came over and I hadn't gotten to the cleaning part yet, so I asked him, would you like me to clean her teeth...then right there in front of the patient, he looked at me...of course with annoyance, and said "WHAT DO WE DO...WE TAKE THE X RAYS AND THEN I COME AND LOOK AT THEIR TEETH AND THEN WE GO FROM THERE" I was like...WHAT THE HELL! I wish that I hadn't cried though, it just makes me look weak, and I'm no weakling...I just think he shouldn't have done that in front of the patient and then no apology or anything, just rediculous. ANYWAY, I'm over it, I have been looking for a new job, after buying all these scrubs and stuff, I'm hoping that I can get on as a dental assistant somewhere else, with someone who is less likely to get upset with me and has patience and is willing to train me. I have been emailing a guy back and forth about possible job interview, here in St. Robert, where I live which would be GREAT, closer to home and less for gas and also it would be on a daily basis not just 3 days a week or so. I am so ready to be done with this wishy washy do one thing one way one minute and then change their minds and decide to do it differently the next minute, it's just outright frustrating and a really lousy working enviornment. Sometimes I feel like I'm on eggshells, and then with something so small as a question is deemed to warrant a response such as the one the Dr gave me, I am ready to move on to something else. Anyway, UGH, I didn't really want to go into all of that, but I guess it is a better way for you to feel the frustration and now to know why it is happening. My schedule at this job has never been more than 3 days in a week, and my position is classified as "Irregular Part Time" and so I guess that means that I'm expendable....I don't know, Dorothy has gone as far as to call me their utility worker, which I guess I should take as a compliment, meaning I can do everything and I am flexible, but....seriously, when I am "supposedly" doing such a good job and they ask me why I am late but then they say they understand some things because they knew I had kids when they hired me...WHAT THE HELL IS THAT...I MEAN...SERIOUSLY PEOPLE! Anyway, I'm ready for something steady, and when I'm actually doing the assisting on a daily basis I will get good. I was talking to someone about going through the class that they offer for dental assisting on the post here, and they said that one of their friends did it, and when they got a job after they finished certifying, it was like they had never taken the course at all, it was like starting all over again because they felt like they were learning the stuff all over again, so I'm thinking that the way I'm learning is a little better, but you do have to have fundamentals that I don't quite have down yet, however, I have office experience etc as well as the assisting, so I'm pretty well qualified I'd say. Anyway, ya'll take care, I'm gonna stop nagging now, ttyl :O)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-6674065331459071684?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

A Day In The Life

So, I got in to see the doc, she said that I "DON'T" have gall stones. I can't help thinking that is funny cuz when I was in the ER originally they said that I had to get an ultra sound to tell if I had gall stones..things that make you go hmmm. I am feeling much better, after having two bags of IV fluid put into me on Monday. I went to the doc on Tuesday and that is when she told me that, and also a few other things, bla bla bla, doctor mumbo jumbo, and then she ordered the ultra soundSSS yes...plural. I figured they would have ordered the ultra sounds that I needed from the ER, but I guess NOT! I could not get the ultra sounds scheduled until Friday September 12th, and until then I'm out of work because they don't want me to come into work and have an episode while I'm there...safety and legal reprocussions avoided. I am still having sharp pains here and there in my abdomen, but I am eating actual food again. ANYWAY...on to other things, cuz right now it's just a waiting game until we can find out more.<br /><br />I have changed from one garbage company to another one that is just moving into our area, because they have ONE big trash can with wheels and a lid that can't be knocked off by raccoons. We were having alot of trouble with animals coming and getting into our trash before, and now it's not a problem...HOWEVER, I got my first bill from them intending it to be a certain amount, they told me ahead of time that I would only be charged for 2 months, one thing they didn't tell me is that they charge for GAS..WHAT?! I didn't know what the heck that was and it really ticked me off so I called them and asked about it and they told me that everyone has to pay that. When I was getting ready to sign up with them initially, I had told some friends about it, how cool I thought it was and everything, and then, I get this bill...by the time I got this bill, one of my friends I had told about it had already signed up with them and pre paid 3 months in advance...anyhow...when I told her about the gas surcharge, she was stunned because she didn't have to pay it...I was like..WHAT? I decided that I was going to give the questioning of the company another go, and I told them that I have a friend that signed up with them just recently because I had told her about them and that she doesn't have to pay the gas surcharge, and I was wondering why...so guess what, I don't have the charge anymore...LOL. I think it's rediculous though that they did not say, there is a fee for the gas that will be used in the trucks when they come to pick up your trash, I was really unhappy, and it is only a small amount, but all in all, it makes a difference, and I did no intend to have that there and one of the main reasons I signed up in the first place was that it was going to be a little cheaper than the company we were with before, even with the rental of their trash can. I'm pretty stoked about how that turned out. Anyhow, it's silly, but I have to do something around here that makes me feel accomplished. ttyl :O)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-6418906908880905876?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Pancreatitis

Yea, that's what I have. Now I have a HUGE bruise on my arm from where this kid who OBVIOUSLY wasn't good at taking blood and what not tried to get a vein for the IV. I wasn't sure what exactly I should do, but you know getting a free carpet shampoo was definately something that made my eyes widen I'm sure, cuz it just sounds so fantastic...like they're going to do it while I watch...OH HOW LOVELY! Anyhow, so I told them yes, when the guy came in with the vacuum I didn't know until I looked at the box that he was carrying that they were Kirby sales people...first thought in mind "OH GRRRRREAT!" I remember these guys, they came in my house when I was younger and sold a 2000.00 vacuum to my dad, and you know, I have always thought there was some gimick to it..like those Kirby vacuums are so much better than all the others...WHATEVER, they have great marketing though, it's just a rip off as far as I'm concerned but hey, I was willing to let him come in a clean my carpet for free....thinking it would be worth my time. When Kirby comes in your house, they ask you to vacuum with yours first and then they take the example one they bring and go over that same area, with theirs and instead of using a bag they put a whit piece of paper or whatever that stuff is, so they can show you how much more they're picking up even after you've already gone over that area with your vacuum, in my opinion this is where the gimick comes in, I totally think those things are rigged some how. ANYWAY, of course he picked up dirt and stuff, and showed it to us, bla bla bla, but when he asked me how happy I was with my vacuum, I told him "I LOVE MY VACUUM, are you gonna make fun of my vacuum?" lol...he said he wouldn't since I seem to like my vacuum so much, and right there I gave him my answer to the all powerful "are you interested" question...he knew that we were not potential buyers...made things alot easier..even though he knew that (cuz he said, "I'm guessing you're not gonna buy, am I right") he still went ahead and cleaned the carpet...but you know what...IT STILL LEFT SPOTS...they claimed to have been able to get spaghetti sauce out of the carpet...NOT IF THEY CAN'T GET ONE LITTLE FRIGGIN' KOOL-AID SPOT OUT! UGH, I was so frustrated at that, it was a foam cleaner bla bla bla, but I have my own cleaner and a green little green spot cleaner that I absolutely love, and they're both from BISSELL...ANYHOW...he did his little presentation and the Kirby vacuum cleaner did the foam carpet cleaner stuff...you let it sit for a few minutes and then vacuum over where you cleaned with the foam cleaner set up bla bla bla...and when he was done of course we went through the motions...cuz he has to, and then he left...when he was giving his presentation he took a few of those little white things that he was picking up the "excess dirt" (that my vacuum supposedly didn't pick up) and asked us to try and rip them in half...didn't work, they're made out of some sort of material that is pretty tough..so anyway, we couldn't rip those in half, but...he must have forgotten to pick those up upon leaving because we had them after he left...RJ thought he would like to try that dirt thing with my vacuum, and guess what....when he did it with mine, those things were still showing that there was GOBS of dirt on the floor...with MY vacuum...even after going over it once with my vacuum, twice with the Kirby and cleaning it..I DON'T THINK SO! I just love my vacuum and I'm so glad that I am not a succor, those vacuums are so not worth the amount they charge for them. Anyhow, I just wanted to share this, with those of you who might have Kirby salesman come to your door, it's a big fat lie, and they're just good salespeople. Here's a picture of my vacuum, it's a Bissell Healthy Home and I am absolutely satisfied with it's performance! ttyl :O)<br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=IMG_5602.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/IMG_5602.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-4727325223349826602?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Fun Day Out

My girlfriend (Katie) and I went out with our boys and saw the hulk, elmo, and dora at the PX here on Ft. type='text'>HOLY CRAP!

I thought yesterday was a lazy day, today has been one of the laziest days EVER!!!! I have done nothing but talk on the phone and watch tv, and play on this gosh dern thing all day! I even didn't make my kids lunch til just like 10 minutes ago...isn't that friggin' pathetic. I mean, what kind of mother am I when my kids have to remind me to make them lunch and that they do get hungry...UGH! OH WELL, I mean, they're fed so, they don't hate me yet! I was talking to Kyle as I was making him lunch and I said "I've spent to much time on the computer today huh?" and he just says "yep" as he stirred the mac n' cheese...lol..he loves to help, I think he feels like he needs to be able to do more than we allow, but I still feel that he is still a little young to do some things...he can take the trash out and stuff like that...I don't know, I don't know how old he should be really before I start making him do stuff. I think I'm WAY to picky to have anyone help me, and I think that is maybe why RJ doesn't help much around the house because when he does try to I just gripe about him folding stuff wrong, or putting it in the wrong place, but you know, when things get done I really do appreciate it, even if it isn't EXACTLY the way I want it. Anyhow, I gotta make sure to pick this place up, sitting in front of the computer has it's drawbacks, you can't watch what your kids are doing when you're looking at the computer screen and they have totally RAN SACKED the place. Take Care everyone, I will write more later...OH OH, I would like to welcome my sister <a href="http://cherylutahspage.blogspot.com/">Cheryl</a>to the blogging family and community...HAHA! I took pictures of it but my cameras battery needs to be charged before I can upload so, I'll be posting them later, but anyhow, when the ball first hit I didn't realize the damage I did until a few minutes after, and then I was like...ACK, CRAP, it hurts...and now it's all purple and black and blue...lol...the woes of playing ball right?! Anyhow, that was just practice, and then after the practice ended I went to watch RJ's game and ended up playing with them because they didn't have enough people! I had alot of fun, I love playing ball...I feel kind of out of the loop though playing with the girls team, but we'll see what happens tonight. I'm not actually on the team per say, but I have gone to a couple of their practices and so I kinda feel like I can handle it...if I suck, I suck, at least I was trying to help them out eh?! I was supposed to remember Kyle's little trophy ceremony/barbecue for his T-Ball season today, it was from 1-3 and I didn't realize that we were missing it until 2:20, what kind of bad parent am I?! UGH, I couldn't believe that, I was so angry with myself. So anyhow, we went and got his little trophy and the team picture..it was such a good thing I remembered before it was all over. I think Kyle won't really remember, he'll know that we made it there, at least in time to get his stuff and some sodas and a few chips...I'm just totally erked, I even marked it on my calendar that I usually check everyday and I have the flyer they passed out at the last T-Ball game on the side of the fridge that you would see as you walk into the kitchen, I felt terrible...ugh, anyway, no use crying over spilt milk. I will blog more later, I have a small dilemma, a friend has invited me to a Mary Kay party, which I would love to go to, specially if I had money to buy stuff, but I don't and so I feel like I shouldn't really go if I don't intend to buy anything, except that she and I are good friends and I love to hang out with...BUT also, there is another of our friends whos hubby is on duty all night into tomorrow morning that asked us to come to her house for dinner to give her some company...I feel so idiotic...I always do this type of thing to myself. Anyhow, I'll figure it out! ttyl :O)<br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=IMG_5366.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/IMG_5366.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-6585221140154059058?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Car

I am going to the dealership to get some final fixes on my car before the warranty runs out. I kinda figure, why should we re enlist for him to go through more time away from his family..BLA BLA BLA if they aren't going to give us something more for the service that he provides...yea, I know, I'm whining, but really, isn't it a deserved allowance that they should get a reward for years of service prior to signing on for more years of service to the United States and the US Government? UGH, I am more frustrated with the fact that we kind of counted on making more off the sale of the house, and that way we could actually...MAYBE enjoy the SRB that we were thinking we were almost garaunteed....<strong>NOT</strong>. UGH, it's hard, such is life eh?! Anyhow, RJ will be making more money if he makes chief but it's hard for me to wait...we say the military is "hurry up and wait" lol! Sometimes, I wish life was a little easier, when cost of living and gas and grocery goes up, so does the pay you reiceive for it all so that you won't go broke just trying to make it through day to day...I'm kinda erked. I really like to gripe and moan, can ya tell? lol NO, not really, it's just an easy thing to do when things don't go the way that I have planned for. Originally they had told RJ that he was going to get 22,000 but we don't know if it's going to go up, or go down, or go away all together, I HATE WAITING! I like being able to set up a plan and have more of an idea of what is going to happen vs waiting to see...I KNOW, I have been married to him for 8 years and I should be used to the way things work by now, but um...I can tell you, you never really get used to it, you just kinda learn to go with it even if it pisses you off every time something is supposed to be a certain way and it doesn't always turn out to be that way. Well, I do hope that things go the way that we have forseen, at least, a little something so that we can get our heads above water, cuz right now, it kinda feels like we're drowning (I'm talking hypothetically of course). We did do it to ourselves, it's certainly no ones fault but our own, but dangit..LOL. It seems like in the amount of time that I have had this job I have now (a little over a year) I have had 4 different daycare people...isn't that just rediculous?! 4 differnt daycares...NO make that 5 in a little over a year. The first one is a friend of mine, she got a job, and she gave me 2 weeks to find someone else, so I did, and I appreciate the fact that she at least gave me some time...the next girl, worked out for a while, but then, one day, she decided that she was gonna move and didn't think it important to tell me until Monday...and she was moving on Wednesday...what the hell is that?! I'm like, common courtesy says...you give at least a weeks notice...SHEESH! OK, then the next lady, she did it from her home, and so I just figured that it would be great, that she would continue to do it for me regardless of Bryen's sometimes outlandish behavior...however, one day while I was at work, I thought I would call and check up on things, and she said to me "I'm getting tired of his hittin' and kickin' me" I told her that we would have to talk about it later, but...I wasn't about to leave my kids with her any longer, to me that came across as though she can't handle him and that she was getting to the end of her rope, so I called RJ and had him go get the kids, I was really upset, and I think it just radiated to RJ because when he got there to get the kids, he let the lady have it...but reamed her good. She called me after he left, I had to go and pay her once I got back from work still...and she called me all upset about his behavior...I was like...well, he was upset because I was upset because it came across like you were going to snap on my child, and that is not how a supposed "child care professional" is supposed to act...I guess when she and RJ were exchanging words, she said "well I guess you just lost your daycare" and then RJ retorted with "good we weren't gonna bring them back anyway" LOL...I mean, my main issue with her talking to about my children like that is...she is supposed to have th knowhow to deal with bad behavior...just a little rediculous. ANYHOW, now, they are with a friend of ours, she is watching them for me as needed and she just kind of goes with the flow...she doesn't seem to be bothered by Bryen's behavior as much, and I don't know if it's because she just knows how to deal with him now, or if she just doesn't say anything to me about it, but I'm certainly content with having someone I feel more comfertable with. I am just sitting here thinking about it, and I feel like such a loser sometimes, when I can't keep child care, and I feel it is responsible to tell my employer that I have ONCE AGAIN lost childcare and I need to find someone new just in case I'm unable to work...they have been so great about it, they continually tell me that they knew that when they hired me, and they completely understand and they have been so flexible and just great with me. I honestly don't think that I would ever have had this opportunity to learn the things that I'm learning with this job anywhere else, I'm so happy to be able to have this opportunity, even though I can't stay forever. Well...anyway, what got me started on this, was thinking about my friend that is watching them now, she is getting ready to go on vacation, which is totally fine...of course...but I am trying to figure out what I'm gonna do while she's away (which I will of course) I have always seemed to be able to figure something out. The difficulty with the job that I have and keeping childcare, is that I don't work enough to put them in full time positions for childcare because the childcare would offset what I make by so much that we would be paying for me to work...that's totally against the idea of my working, I'm supposed to be able to bring in some extra money. Anyhow, I will let you go, that it just a little bit of rant and rave from the bethster...teehee<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-4936282933005281790?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

4th of July 2008

We had such a good time setting off fireworks and hanging out with friends last night! I hope that you all had a great and happy 4th, it's always so fun to do holidays with people you love. I wish that I were closer to my family in Utah and Montana. This year for our celebration we had a friend that just happened to be pretty tight with a guy that owns a firework stand, and so pretty much for every 1 that they bought they gave them free stuff, it was really cool! We have the coolest fireworks here too...I guess that is one of the pluses about Missouri, sorry Missouri lovers, I just really don't like it much here, other than my job and the fact that we have been able to buy a house. ANYWAY, we had a really great time last night, and yes, we did spend ALOT of $ on those fireworks but they would have been FAR FAR more expensive if we didn't have that hookup through RJ's co worker. Well, I'm off, I hope everyone takes care, ttyl :O)<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=IMG_5324.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/IMG_5324.jpg" border="0" alt="4th July 2008"></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-1677923665949827159?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Twilight Series

<span style="font-family:georgia;">I have recently started reading these books, they're called "Twilight" "New Moon" "Eclipse" and there is a fourth one of the series that hasn't come out yet and won't until August. I'm waiting for that one eagerly...I read the first 3 in a total of 7 days...just crazy...I haven't read books since I was in school...and yea, I have been out of High School for more than 10 years...YIKES...hate thinking about that fact! ANYHOW..."Twilight" is such a good book, it pulls you in and is such a good story with a powerful and forbidden romance..oh so good. I don't want to tell the story, but..I can just tell you that they are well worth the read, it's pure fiction..but highly enjoyable, the way that Stephenie Meyer can depict the emotions of the characters in her books is just awesome, and I have been compelled...not that compelling me is a difficult thing to do..haha! </span><br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=twilightcover.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/twilightcover.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br /><br />We started to look into how much we might be able to get out of our house if we were to sell it....the outlook is not as great as what we were thinking. I am hopeful that we can at least walk away from the house breaking even...if we can at least, at least do that then we'll be ok...we put alot of money(that we didn't have) into finishing this basement thinking that it would add to the value of our house...that is kind of frustrating but...we still have some time. My main concern is that I will be stuck here after RJ has to go ahead to the next duty station, cuz we know the government owns him and so he must do what they say.<br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/?action=view&current=IMG_3811.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b318/bethysmiles/IMG_3811.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br /><br />I'm gonna get going, thanx for readin, hope it's kind of interesting...and...READ THOSE BOOKS! They're really really good...seriously...no lie! haha, ttyl :O)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-5702997282134155600?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

TV

There was a problem with our dish starting on Tuesday...LAST WEEK. I had to got to work the morning it started having issues so I couldn't stay and try to figure it out that day. Anyway, turns out we had NO tv at all for 5 days, they were supposed to send a tech out to work on it on Friday, and because of the weather they didn't...so we were stuck waiting until TOMORROW...which would make it a full week without TV. Anyhow, my point of talking about this, is that you don't really realize how dependant you are on the boob tube until you don't have to park your butt in front of. It's amazing how much time it actually monopolizes in your life...you don't realize it until it's gone. I don't really think it's one of those you don't know what you have til it's gone type of things, I think it's more, why the hell do we have this crap type of thing, it's like...we're living our lives through television or something, I mean, that is pretty much what we do when our son doesn't have a tball game or something like that...UGH, anyway, Bryen is getting into stuff...AGAIN, so I have to go and kick his little 3 yr old butt...ttyl :O)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8839321719279263170-4594500339407847933?l=navymcgahas.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

HELLO

This is just a little hello to all blogspotters.
